Wonder Weekend

I sure did have a wonderful weekend. I got to go to a Nuggets game with a student and his friend. He loves the Nuggets and especially Allen Iverson about as much as I do, so it was a blast. A.I. takes so many free throws each game, I had to just get some, right?

We actually got to go on Guys Night Out, what a treat! I was probably one of four girls in my section...but definitely the only one sober! You know, I gotta say Guys Night Out is not the most edifying or wonderful time to go to the Nuggets, but those guys on the court make it all better! I just love those Nuggies!!!

After the game three of my UCCS students (Sarah, Patrick, and Shawn) and I drove up to Keystone to my parents condo, met two other students, and stayed the weekend and snowboarded and skied. Seriously I have never had so much fun snowboarding. They widened my stance and fixed my bindings so it would be moce comfortable and it was and I just love love loved it! So really it was one amazingly fun weekend!

So Proud...

I am just so so proud of my cousin! He is playing for the CSU basketball team as a walk-on. He is a senior and this is his first year. As a highschooler, David was an incredible baller, but hurt his knee and couldn't go play in college. He has been playing pick up all these years and decided to try and walk-on to the CSU team and HE MADE IT!!! I just really can't say enough how excited and proud of Davey I am! That #11 is such a stud. Love him!!!!!!

Guess what...

Guess where Cayley and I get to go this summer...NORWAY! We are so excited and can't believe we get to go there together. It is a 6 week discipleship program. These pictures are where we will be staying for 4 of the 6 weeks. The other 2 weeks will be spent in Latvia. I absolutely cannot wait to be overseas with my sister.

Welcome to the Sunshine State...

So I was able to spend a whole week in Gainesville, FL with the Tetens (John and Melissa), my bestest friends! We got into Tampa and then drove to the ocean, so I could put my little feet in the water and walk on the sand. It was beautiful and it was January and I was BAREFOOT!! Can you even believe that?

We went to UF campus and saw so many cool things. I went to the football and basketball stadiums where UF won three NCAA championships in football and basketball. GO GATORS!!! We went to the plaza and got to see a fraternity sing and do a swaggery walk, amazing amazing sight to be seen. And let me just say I saw an alligator ON CAMPUS...so scary! We went to a UF gymnastics meet with a student and to an on-campus movie with a bunch of International students...hilarious!

We ate many fun meals together. We made meals such as Japanese Chicken Fingers and Grilled Gyro Burgers and Spicy Tomato Soup. We also got to go to Checkers (for burgers), a Vietnamese restaurant (for Pho), and Mel's Hot Dogs (for Chicago style hot dogs).

I even got to see the Nugents, how I miss them so much. Thanks Tetens for an amazing amazing and wonderful time in Florida! I love you guys so very much!!!
